“I Think Celtic Have Addressed Everything” – 20min Tims Revise Celtic’s Transfer Window

With Celtic’s transfer business concluded, we’ve all heard the newspaper reporters and pundit’s verdict on Celtic’s business, but what about fan opinion?

The guys from the 20min Tims podcast were giving theirs on what, I perceive, is a very decent window for the club. Yes, and the guys make this point on this episode, we probably could have been doing with a left back and possibly another centre midfielder, but overall, to get in over ten players is extremely good for Ange Postecoglou’s first window.

The guys on the podcast opinion is, overall, that the Hoops have done some excellent business this summer, “I’m very happy with it, to be honest.

I wasn’t too hopeful with the Cameron Carter Vickers last night but to wake up this morning see that is an absolute bonus.

I thought that would have been one that really made a very, very good window. I think Celtic have addressed everything, pretty much that I wanted.

There’s only maybe midfield we are a wee bit light but after the work we had to do, I think we’ve done very, very well considering everything we went through.

Considering by mid July, we only had Urhoghide and Shaw in?

So to get, what, ten plus players since then and all of them look like they will contribute to the first team.

I think we’ve done very well.”

And it is very hard to disagree. Bringing in the J League’s and the Eredivisie top goal scorer (although the boys do have reservations about Giakoumakis which I’ll cover later), plus an experienced goalkeeper in Hart, McCarthy and an international right back is excellent business.

And I’ve still not covered Jota and Abada.

For a first window, Postecoglou has put his stamp on the team and with all the distractions caused by Edouard and Christie now gone from the club, I think we will see a different Celtic after the international break.
