Hearts and Aberdeen could stop Celtic. If you listened to Charlie Nicholas

Of the nonsense I have read and heard all week, this is probably the best of them.

£10m. £10m is all it would take to stop Ange Postecoglou’s domination of Scottish football.

That’s according to former Celtic striker Charlie Nicholas.

After the Hoops showed their dominance again against Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi final, Nicholas told Beale all he needs is £10m to stop us.

Nicholas said [Daily Record], “They don’t need a lot of money to spend. They could do it for about £10 million and in that figure I would include the clearing of the decks of their bigger earners who are out of contract, like Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent.

“I don’t think they need to spend fortunes. Ange Postecoglou and Celtic have shown that with their recruitment under the Australian.”

The only problem is, Rangers don’t have £10m. Hearts and Aberdeen probably do so does that mean they could challenge us for the title?

Of course not. It’s a ridiculous statement to make as it takes so much more than money to challenge us.

You need a decent manager for a start. Then a recruitment policy and, finally, a fanbase that is willing to give them time.

Rangers have none of those. Money helps, but it’s not the be all and end all.
