Greek report: Celtic star decides his next destination

Celtic Park, Main Stand entrance

Celtic are heavily involved in transfer activity and with just six days left in the transfer window, there does seem to be more business to be done.

Josip Juranovic and Moritz Jenz already see themselves shown the exit door and it seems that Giorgos Giakoumakis could be next.

The Greek striker rejected a contract from Celtic before the World Cup and has found himself now looking for a new club.

With reports claiming that he tried to backtrack on his demands only to be given the short thrift by Ange Postecoglou [Vital Celtic], bridges seem to have burned and Giakoumakis is on his way.

But to where? Urawa Reds where tipped to be his next destination but this was rubbished by a Japan based podcaster as deal that ‘cannot happen‘.

A report has claimed [SDNA] that Giakoumakis is set to head to the MLS to join Atlanta and that GG was impressed with what he saw at the American outfit.

The report also claims that all the deal needs now is Celtic’s approval and if that happens, then it will be concluded within the next few days.

We wish Giakoumakis all the very best and hope he finds happiness wherever he lands.
