Ewan Cameron’s opinion on Ryan Kent penalty is not surprising. Is he right?

Ewan Cameron is such a divisive figure with the Celtic fans. In fact, scratch that, he’s not divisive. Not one Celtic fan has any time for him.

Mainly because he is famed for trolling our club and fans on Twitter, he also claims to be a Hearts fan but fails to tweet about them.

Anyway, Cameron was talking VAR on the podcast and offered this interesting take on the Ryan Kent penalty.

Speaking on The Big Scottish Football Podcast, Cameron said, “Well, we were watching that live on the radio and initially when you see it in and a live situation and it’s happening on the telly.

We initially laughed because we thought it was an horrendous decision to overturn the yellow card and the dive.

We didn’t think it was a penalty.

It’s not until it slows down and you see from a different angle you can see that there is contact made and the referee was right to go and change the decision and remove the yellow card.

But initially I thought the referee got it right.”

Really? Take a look:

It looks to me as if the winger had already started falling down before the St Mirren player even started to put in a challenge.

And the theatrical roll at the end? Well, that’s just classic Ryan Kent isn’t it?

Very contentious indeed. As is Cameron’s opinion on it.

After all, this is a guy that claimed Bernabei’s hand was in an unnatural position and the penalty awarded to Dundee United was correct.
