Chris Sutton’s Brilliant Tweet on Astounding Transfer Rumour

You have to love big Chris Sutton. Adored by the Celtic fans and absolutely vilified by *Rangers fans.

The latest transfer rumour to hit the tabloids over the weekend was a skilfully placed ridiculous article that claimed current *Rangers captain James Tavernier is being “monitored” by English Premier League giants, Manchester United.

The report, by 90min, claimed that United are one of FOUR Premier League clubs currently running the eye over the penalty specialist as they bid to strengthen their back line as an alternative to Kieran Trippier.

Yes. That’s correct. Out of all the talent available in the footballing world, Manchester United have an eye on the Scottish Premier League as a viable option to strengthen their squad.

Now, don’t take that as a slant on our game. It is not. I am being completely honest in saying that this is the most non believable transfer story I have ever heard.

I mean, come on. Look at the calibre of right backs United have had over the years from Gary Neville, Antonio Valencia and Rafael Da Silva to name but a few. All international standard. All world class standard and most importantly, all serial winners. Tavernier has won one solitary trophy in his time. That’s it.

But I’ll leave the last word to our very own Chris Sutton, who took to twitter to express his opinion on the matter and all it took was three simple words to hook in the Rangers fans.

Simple. Delightful. Beautiful. Sutton reeled them all in on one single tweet. Enjoy the thread.

  1. Man Utd deal in serious players. The RIFC captain is a chump. Plain and simple.
