Marco Molla: “Deal already in place”: It’s all down to Celtic now.

It looks like we are going to the answer to our Giorgos Giakoumakis question really soon.

With the Celtic striker expected to leave Celtic in this transfer window, there has been no shortage of transfer speculation surrounding the Green striker.

Reports from the US suggest that MLS side Altlanta are front runners to seal the deal but a tweet this morning from Marco Milla, the man that broke the Hatate to Celtic news last year, suggests that Urawa Reds have made the best offer for the club and the striker and that it is now up to the Hoops to decide which to accept.

With only 4 days of the window left, it is now vital that this transfer saga is now wrapped up for both our sakes.

Giakoumakis clearly wants one final big pay day, one that Celtic are not willing to give, and with Ange Postecoglou already signing his replacement and not of a mind to offer Giorgos the terms he is looking for, it could mean we are saying ‘Sayonara’ to the fans favourite.

Terms of the deal are not yet known at the moment but we can only hope that the club will receive a decent transfer fee for a striker that clearly knows how to find the back of the net.
