In terms of player performance, Sead Haksabanovic gave a fascinating insight into how the gaffer gets the best out of the players.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Haksabanovic was glowing in his praise for the manager, “He gives you encouragement. He gives you motivation to go out there and and do the best you can do.

“He shows that he has your back and he believes in you and the playing style you know that we play, I’m loving it, it suits me so I’m very happy to be here.”

It’s little wonder the players will run through brick walls for the manager if he instils so much belief, confidence and trust.
