We all know Rangers do not have the proverbial pot to p*ss in.

So when Michael Beale claimed earlier in the January transfer window that the club were looking to bring in at least two international players, it definitely raised my eyebrows.

How could they afford it? As it turns out, they did bring in two players but neither of them were international. But to be fair they did fly them in to Glasgow soooo……….

I wrote a few weeks ago how Phil revealed the hilarious details of the Todd Cantwell deal. It’s well worth a read so when he speaks about how they could have funded the Nicolas Raskin deal, I obviously need to sit up and listen.

Speaking in his latest blog, Phil writes:

Phil did admit that he has no way to substantiate his claim but he does go on to say this:

They really are the beggar club of Scotland. Scratching around behind the back of the sofa to drum up just enough cash to pay for a player is exactly where this club is at these days.

And whilst FFP eyes remain fixated on them, we will see more of this happening in the summer. Especially when seven top team players can walk away for free.
