“Celtic lead the bid” – Swedish media report exciting transfer move

Away from the madness of the managerial merry go rounds over on the other half of the city, another transfer story has emerged from Sweden that might excite the Celtic fans.

It is not a new story but it has been given a refresh as reports from Sweden suggest that Jordan Larsson is high on the list of targets for the Hoops.

Larsson, clearly, needs no introduction. Son of the King of Kings, Henrik, Larsson has been plying his trade in Russia for Spartak Moscow and is seemingly looking for a way out.

Aftonblade’t reports, according to CVBJ.biz, that Larsson has ‘no intention’ of staying in Russia but does warn that there are several European teams interested in the 24 year old Swede, “According to Aftonblade’t, Celtic Glasgow, the team where his father became a legend, is very interested in getting Jordan Larsson.

In Scotland they would be delighted to welcome the son of one of their great myths. But it won’t be a cheap dream Spartak asks for 13 million to accept a transfer.

It remains to be seen whether or not Celtic would be willing to shell out €13m fora striker that would be second fiddle to Kyogo, even if it is Larsson, but also whether or not his recent goal tally of one in sixteen justifies such a large outlay.

With the January window just under seven weeks away there will be real interest on how this story will develop.
