Barry Ferguson sends Ange transfer warning. Thanks Barry but we’ve got this!

Celtic Park

Celtic have been very active in the transfer market by not only bringing in players, but also moving players on.

With Josip Juranovic moving on for £10m, Ange Postecoglou already offset that with the arrival of Alistair Johnston.

Moritz Jenz is now away and the gaffer brought in Kobayashi.

Now that Giorgos Giakoumakis seems to be the next player casualty, Ange has already covered that with the arrival of Oh.

The Celtic boss is steps ahead with his recruitment but Barry Ferguson reckons that letting Giakoumakis go is a big mistake.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Ferguson said, “I think he’s going to be a big miss. I honestly do.

“As I said he’s grew on me. He was a bit behind because obviously, he missed pre-season so was playing catch-up in terms of fitness levels with his teammates.

“But yeah, he’s certainly impressed me and he does the hardest thing in the game.

“He knows where the back of the net is and what I like about him as he scores all different type of goals.

“He’s a real poacher but also he can score from outside the box and score with his head so I do think it will be a big miss for.”

Who knows whether Oh will be an adequate replacement for GG. If he takes time to settle we have Maeda as another option.

Thanks for the advice Barry but I’m pretty sure Ange Postecoglou knows what he is doing.
