Cards on the table? I’m not so sure about this latest rumour if I’m honest.
If this had happened a couple of years ago I could see the merit in it but Kevin Nisbet to Celtic just doesn’t appeal to me one iota.
Could it be that I am a football snob and believe that to get a striker worth his salt we need to spend millions on a foreign import?
I don’t think I am to be honest. The way I look at it is this, if we signed Nisbet, is he any better than what we currently have at the club?
I don’t believe so. Giakoumakis is a better striker, albeit that bit older, and Kyogo is Kyogo.
The thing is if we want to keep improving, that means scouring for talent that is better than the players already here and at this minute, Kyogo as streets ahead of any striker in Scotland.
So for me, I’d rather we passed on this one.
