“It’s very easy for managers to get tapped up” – Talksport pundit urges Celtic to tie up Ange

I’m not really getting why Gabby Agbonlahor is talking about Ange possibly getting tapped up.

With the Celtic boss the subject of much EPL speculation (or lies) by the Scottish media, it does seem that as the gaffer continues to rankle the Scottish media as they seem intent on trying to hawk the Celtic boss around to any club in the EPL.

Now they’ve resorted to the ‘tapping up’ patter and this time it’s the turn of Talksport pundit Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking to Football Insider, Agbonlahor said, “It was a risk to bring him in but he’s done an outstanding job.

“Celtic, for me, are the best team in Scotland and I’d put my money on them winning the league this season.

“They look very strong, and that’s down to the manager.

“They’ll want to tie him down because it’s very easy for managers to get tapped up and there’ll be interest from elsewhere.

“I’d definitely be wanting him to commit to a long-term contract.”

And this is the thing these ‘pundits’ don’t understand.

Ange is a man of principle. He simply would not allow himself to be ‘tapped up’ by anyone.

Has no-one in the media been paying attention to what anything the Celtic boss has been saying or doing over the last year and a half.

Postecoglou talks about values. About principles. About culture.

He would not allow what is, by all intents and purposes, an illegal action to prise him away from Celtic.

If he leaves us, he will do so with his head held high and his principles intact.

But that will not be for a few years yet.
