“My own sources have informed me” – As Sevco’s AGM is announced Phil Mac reveals financial worry for new club

Celtic Park from Janefield Street

The Rangers’ AGM is usually a source of much entertainment for not only Celtic fans but for football fans in general.

With their board needing to explain the lack of investment in the first team, the worst Champions League team in history and why they have fell from this self-proclaimed ‘European team’ to a side that may struggle to hold onto second place in the league.

Ok, that last part is a bit of a stretch but they are in serious trouble not just on the park.

That’s according to Phil Mac Ghiolla Bhain.

In his latest blog, he has hinted that auditors of the club are now no longer interested in the directors covering further losses the club may have made:

Could you imagine the meltdown if the Ibrox board said that? Imagine if they said they needed X amount of millions to see them to the end of the season after banking tens of millions last season and this season with their European run. And not to mention players ‘sales’.

Given that they are under scrutiny from UEFA’s FFP rules, this could get messy, quickly.
