“That just can’t be ignored” – John Hartson highlights Celtic flaw that needs addressed

Former Celtic striker John Hartson is one of those pundits that wears his heart on his sleeve.

Calls it how it is. Gives praise to the team when it’s warranted and criticises when necessary.

And he is always fair and balanced.

Hartson was very passionate on The Go Radio Football Show when he was speaking about our performances in the Champions League and he highlighted a major flaw that needs to be addressed if we were to make any progress in Europe, “I still think we have to do the dirty work.

I still think we have to try and keep the ball out of our net. We do concede an awful lot of goals.

That just can’t be ignored. As much as I like Ange on the front foot, and we kept going to the 90th minute. I love all that. I love Ange.

I just love his philosophy, his drive and what he expects from his players.

But at some stage to win games, you’ve got to keep the back door shut.

I think this is nothing new for the Celtic support and the only thing Ange Postecoglou needs to work out is how is he going to keep his current attacking style whilst making sure the back door is locked shut?

It really is a conundrum for the Hoops manager and one that I think will be addressed in the upcoming transfer window.
