“Has he took another squash ball to the eye?” – Outstanding response to Marco Negri’s baffling Kent interview

See this debate that is being had between the Scottish hacks that Kent is just as good as Jota? Take that nonsense so far to feck.

Kent is not even in the same ballpark as our Portuguese wonder bhoy.

Even when they are on the same park, he is not on the same level as Jota.

And no amount of succulent lamb nonsense can cover it up.

Take this recent piece from The Sunday Post that was served for one purpose, and one purpose only. To give the Ibrox hordes a feel-good story about one their most overhyped players on their payroll.

Former Oldco striker Marco Negri decided to heap praise on Kent and seem to suggest Rangers can some away with something from Naples tomorrow night.

This piece of nonsense is something that not even the Newco *Rangers fans are buying, “I expect to see a different Rangers in this tie. [Let me stop you there Marco, you’ve been watching a different Rangers for 10 years now!]

“This time around, I am sure Rangers will revert to the tactics that served them so well in the run to the Europa League final last year.

“By that I mean playing much deeper – possibly even with a five-man defence – and close Napoli’s space down.

“In this system, pace on the counter-attack is key, and it is here I think Kent will be so important.

“He is excellent at dribbling with the ball and quick enough to be able to sprint past opposition defenders.”

Negri also claimed that Kent will be *Rangers’ most ‘important weapon’ tomorrow night.

To fair, he has got that right. Ryan Kent is, indeed, a weapon.

There was only one response to this article when it was covered by Ibrox News and it sums the whole fluff piece up perfectly, “Has he took another squash ball to the eye? Must be watching a different Ryan Kent.”

Indeed.
