“Sectarianism is a cancer” – Award winning journalist reveals shocking Sevco fan abuse

Now we all know these fans can get really tetchy about anything at the best of times.

But after a 4-0 pumping by Ajax and Celtic and then the Queen dying all happening in the same week, they really are in a serious state of emergency down Ibrox way.

As always, it doesn’t take much to set them off and when author and journalist Jill Stark tweeted this:

The part of the London Bridge plan that talks about what happens if she dies in Balmoral is wild. To think this could be about to unfold in Edinburgh, in a country that is largely republican, is mind blowing to me. It started a chain reaction and sequence of abusive tweets from Sevco fans:

Oh great, Glasgow Rangers fans trawling through Twitter photos of my family to find one of my Dad and tell me he’s going to die soon, all because I had the temerity to suggest that not all Scots are royalists. Sectarianism is a cancer. This is going to be a grim few weeks.

Absolutely bizarre and shameful behaviour.

It seems that the country this lot seem to love, that was built on free speech and freedom is now no longer. Unless you agree with their sentiments on the Royalty.

Which leads me to this, they decry all those that have shown ‘disrespect’ to the former monarch whilst simultaneously wishing another person’s parent dead.

I’ve always found their fascination with the Royal Family bizarre. Especially when their club resides in one of the most poverty stricken areas in the UK.

Anyway, keep tugging those forelocks lads.
