Wow. From hero to zero in less than five months.
The European champion of the World, Giovanni van Bronkhorst, has now been given a time up order by a faction of the Ibrox fans due to watching their teams 8-0 aggregate humiliation from Celtic and Ajax this week.
Which is strange. Was Gio not the best manager in Scotland in the summer.
Wasn’t he the one that lifted *Rangers in the European elite with his march into the Europa League Final?
And what was the final straw? The fourth goal hitting the back of the net at Celtic Park? Or the fourth in the Amsterdam ArenA?
Neither.
It was his post match interview where he basically said his team isn’t good enough to compete in Europe’s top competition without cold, hard, cash.
After one match, Gio threw in the towel.
And the fans from Govan were not too happy with him:
Time for him to go! Absolute horrendous attitude from your manager and that attitude shows in the performance last night. Get him to f*ck https://t.co/PyQD1PyzaI

That really is quite the turnaround from a support who’s prides themselves in calling all the supporters clubs ‘loyal’.
One more slip and I think Gio may be a goner.
Who’s up for a trip up north?
