Mark Guidi makes big Brendan Rodgers call

On their way to Paradise

Has the EPL bubble burst for Brendan?

Many Celtic fans will hope so as many have still not forgiven him for bailing out on the club whilst we where on the bring of a Treble Treble.

When Leicester City came calling that’s all it took for Rodgers to jump ship for the riches of the English Premier League.

Rather than wait a couple of months and see out the season, he not only walked in the middle of the night, he tried to take the whole backroom staff with him which could have seriously derailed our bid for history.

Thankfully, no one else went with him and after his third season at The Foxes, it seems now that Rodgers time at the midlands club is up.

Speaking on Go Radio, Mark Guidi said, “It’s well documented he’s not brought a player in yet.

He’s losing Fofana today to Chelsea and he’s lost Schmeichel, Tiellemans, Maddison, there’s every chance that they could still be away too.

So he’s lost a few good players and not being able to bring anybody in.

I’m gonna say that in many ways it may suit him not to be bringing people in because in terms of not been able to do the job to the best of his ability.

Because you’re not being given the proper tools to work with.

But I get the feeling that Brendan will be away from Leicester sooner rather than later. I think he’ll bounce back at a top European club because he’s he’s got terrific CV and he knows the game.”

Rodgers is a great coach and will always go down in Celtic’s history after the exploits of the Invincibles season.

If he learns anything from this it should be that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
