“Culture with a capital K” – Outrage as OO bonfire is topped with Celtic effigy

Celtic fans following the team in Europe.

I wrote last night about a tragic accident involving one of the hate fest bonfires and how a video depicted exactly how things can go so wrong with them.

Alcohol and anti Catholicism is never a good mix.

You can see what happened here.

Pretty much everyone agrees outside their tiny minds, that these ‘celebrations of culture’ should be banned.

Or at the very least, these bonfire structures should be.

Because for all the cries of ‘It’s our culture’, let’s cut out the bullsh*t and call it what it is. These ‘celebrations’ gives these peeul the green light to publicly show their hatred for anything Irish or Catholic without kick back or judgement from the media.

That’s it.

And this latest offering proves it:

And the post nails it on the head.

Change the effigy to any other race or creed and there would be full scale media and public condemnation. No question.

But keep it Celtic and Irish. Culture innit?

How long do we need to put up with this backward thinking in this country?

How long do we put up with month long celebrations of hate?

As long as there is media silence and no condemnation, in perpetuity, it seems.

  1. Why not let them have there one day only in the place it took part in the Boyne the Irish government should offer them that , and see how they behave so they are only allowed the one day a year if they don’t behave themselves there will be no more days out. put that to a vote in Ireland that should find out how honest the orange order. Are about their faith
