“Things are moving closer” – BBC man on Celtic’s second summer signing

Lisbon Lions Stand, Celtic Park

There has been a lot said about Celtic’s transfer ‘business’ this summer already.

With the club linked with a multitude of players, the fans are desperate to hear of news of who will become the clubs second signing of the summer after Cameron Carter-Vickers.

That wait might not be too far away according to BBC reporter Fraser Fletcher.

Taking to Twitter, the journalist said, “Celtic are now advancing talks for Alexandro Bernabei from Club Atlético Lanus. First bid was below but Celtic now back in and moving.

“They are in contact with the players representatives/Lanus and things are moving closer.”

Let’s hope that the deal isn’t too far away now and that the board have agreed to Lanus asking price, which at close to £3m, isn’t too expensive for an up and coming Argentinian star.
