The Martin Compston story has now opened up a huge can of worms for anti sectarianism charity Nil by Mouth.
They have released a statement through the Scottish media taking aim at the Celtic fans involved in the IRA singing at the convention in Las Vegas.
Nil by Mouth director, Dave Scott, said, “This is a pretty depressing spectacle and those involved in the IRA chanting need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. These are adults not children who might not know any better.
“The worst thing? Children and young people could see this and now think this is totally acceptable behaviour.”
These Celtic fans spoke out about the charity’s seemingly selective hearing as we have to endure anti Catholic bile from the Ibrox support and it seems that they didn’t like it:
Just discovered they blocked me for highlighting what they dont do. They are part of the problem. pic.twitter.com/HGJXWyxvaQ

They blocked me for asking the same question about their selective outrage … Not fit for purpose

Every week we had to listen to renditions of the Billy Boys whenever their support celebrated a victory/goal/drinking from a toilet and nothing gets said.
Major TV broadcasters ignore it. Their European home fixtures were lauded for their atmosphere when in reality, the ‘atmosphere’ was their songs of anti Catholic hate.
If the charity is going to be selective about what sectarianism they call out instead of calling it all out, they might as well just give up.
