“That is what prompted my call to Berlin” – Phil Mac’s serious warning to Sevco fans

Lisbon Lions Stand, Celtic Park

Rangers frivolities in Europe have earned them a place in the Europa League final in Seville later this month.

It was a feat unpredicted by many and one dreaded by all. For two reasons.

The vitriol and narrative that these supporters surround themselves in is quite disturbing.

Since the run to Seville looked like a reality, they had a get out clause for not retaining the league title.

Instead of admitting that they s**t the bed and lost it to a better team, they have now claimed that they don’t care about the league. It’s all about Europe when, at the start of the season, nothing could be further from the truth.

The league is where it’s all at. Champions League group stages was the carrot at the end of the stick. It’s what this year was all about. Europe was a bonus.

But what it also has done is create this disturbing narrative that somehow, incredibly and mind-bendingly f**king stupidly, that this run is now the best European exploit is the best in Scottish football history.

A claim given credence by Hugh Keevins no less.

Anyway, as the hordes plan their trip to Seville, Phil Mac Ghiolla Bháin has issued a timely warning to the *Rangers fans.

Their history of travelling to cities outside of Glasgow doesn’t make great reading but in his latest blog, Phil warned:

Which Scottish clubs achievement is the best in history? Take our poll and Have Your Say.

Looks like a stormy time ahead for the good people of Seville.
