Chris Sutton’s brilliant Sevco relegation jab. Is he right?

The joy of being a football fan is the rivalry. Correct?

Getting on over on your city rivals is something that all Celtic fans love.

By God, we have had plenty of fantastic wins over them over the years.

But would Celtic fans really want to see them relegated?

That was the discussion on BBC 606 when Chris Sutton was discussing the Merseyside Derby with a Liverpool fan when he said, “I think that both sets of fans I love the Derby games don’t they?

I think it’s a really interesting one because you know I played in Scotland and if you are Celtic and Rangers fans and asked would you want either team relegated I think we both know the answer percentage wise.”

So would we?

Of course we bloody would.

I think many of us would be happy to see the new Rangers go out of business again so they can pretend they got relegated for the second time just for the return of the Banter Years again.

But then, that is something that is unlikely to happen in our lifetime isn’t it?

You never know……..

    1. Doesn’t mean anyone actually needs to do what it says, as Sevco have shown us all that contracts and agreements don’t matter in the least. If they aren’t going to respect the cinch deal etc. then why should the rest of Scottish football pay heed to the 5WA?

  1. Rangers died, they were never relegated, Sevco started life in the 3rd tier of Scottish Football
