You would think he would be revered as a God.
He was brought in to do one job and that was to stop the ten in a row. He done it, albeit given a massive helping hand with £100m losses and COVID, but he still managed it.
He should be held in the same regard as Wim Jansen (calm down, it’s just an analogy. He is no where near the class of Jansen but you know what I mean).
But instead, he left at the first opportunity and some bears have never forgiven him that.
And it seems his interview with Gary Neville has opened up not only some raw wounds, but some Ibrox fans eyes to the fact that, quite simply, Gerrard’s record was not good enough.
And there you have it. The realisation that the board let Gerrard down, but not long after it, we have some bear on bear action as the realisation of Gerrards record hits home:
Reality is he failed to get us to the CL group stages. Therefore it’s difficult just to throw shit tons of cash about.

It was on him and the players absolutely but the board is the reason he left. We won the title and then didn’t invest further while the manky mob did and it’s showing this season in our defeats to them when last year we were miles ahead but we stood still

There is no magic tree we can pluck £m’s from. Is 2012 so far away that you can’t recall the trouble previous financial mismanagement?

He won 1 trophy in how many years? His name is what kept him in a job

Told he had to sell players or qualify for CL for investment after years of backing from the board. He didn’t want to do either. Far from a board cheerleader but Gerrard is in the wrong on this one.

No backing? Rhe board covered massive losses built up by his squad costing a complete fortune, they spent money during covid when once again he failed to win a trophy for the 2nd season in a row

Guys a scumbag

Bet Gerrard wishes he never bothered now!
