“You’ve made that up!” – Watch Charlie Mulgrew rinse BBC man over Sevco penalty claims

Lauded by many as one of the funniest guys in football, former Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew showed this side to him again in a Sportscene interview after his Dundee United side earned a draw against *Rangers in yesterdays match in Tayside.

After a second half onslaught, the Terrors held on but there were two incidents that, as sure as night follows day, claimed the headlines.

Penalties Rangers never got.

It’s a shoe in. Whenever they drop points, there are always incidents in the match that the media focus on to divert attention away from the fact that another two vital championship points were left behind by them.

Charlie wasn’t having any of it when asked about them by a BBC journalist.

Watch his reaction:

Whether they were penalties or not is irrelevant for me.

It’s now dawning on everyone in Scottish football that ‘Penalty Rangers’ is now a staple part of the game weird narrative that there is always an injustice when the Ibrox team fail to pick up three points.

It’s always someone else’s fault. Not the teams. Not the manager and we will certainly not be having any credit dished out to their opponents for actually having the audacity of EARNING a share of the spoils.

Can’t be having that.
