Davie Provan continues his embarrassing crusade against Celtic star

Davie Provan is an enigma.

A former Celtic player that loves putting the boot into current Celtic players.

One player in particular that Provan seems to love to put the boot into is Carl Starfelt.

Ever since his ropey debut against Hearts, Provan has not given the big Swede the time of day and he still managed to stick it into him over the weekend.

Speaking in The Go Radio Football Show, Provan said, “Earlier on in the season when Celtic lost at Livingston we were saying during the game that Ange Postecoglou had nothing on his bench.

He didn’t have a game changer. Look at the strength of the squad.

No, I mean the contrast couldn’t be any any more stark. Just a little disappointed that Jullien is not on the bench. He’s obviously got a problem.

Been out for a long time obviously and very, very often during your rehab you do pick up little muscle injuries and that appears to be what’s happened.

I don’t think Celtic will be at full strength until they get Christopher Jullien back in the team alongside Carter Vickers.”

I wonder what Starfelt needs to do to win him over?

Get the team to the top of the league?

Be at the heart of the best defence in the league?

Play a starring role against Rangers in a 3-0 trouncing of our rivals?

Wait………….

Provan needs to change the record.

With thirteen games to go I would be more worried if Postecoglou changed Starfelt NOW than at any other time in the season.

  • What are you blabbering on about with Provan…He certainly has settled in now which is great but is also prone to stupid clumsy passes..
