“Call me economical with the truth” – Hugh Keevins calls out Hearts/Souttar/Sevco cup lie as injury miraculously heals in time for Celtic clash

The John Souttar to *Rangers story has been one that has dominated the headlines for a number of weeks now.

But over the weekend, it took a strange turn as Souttar was dropped from Hearts Scottish Cup squad claiming that an ‘ankle injury’ had forced him out.

Coincidentally, Hearts rejected a bid of £300,000 for their defender from Ibrox over the weekend and now Souttar seems to have fully recovered from his injury just in time to face Celtic.

Now I’m not suggesting anything underhand has taken place her but there is a smell emanating from Gorgie akin to that smell you get when you pass a farm first thing in the morning.

But as we all think it, Hugh Keevins calls it and nails it.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins intimated that Hearts were not being entirely truthful about Souttar when he said, “If he had an ankle injury, I am Elvis Presley.

He’s out of that game at the weekend because he’s not going to get cup tied because he wants to be with Rangers in the latter rounds of the cup.

Go on then, call me economical with the truth.”

Yeah, it’s the kind of rule bending we are used to living with here in Scotland and it stinks worse than that farm I was talking about earlier.
