“I’m sure there are more to come.” – Former Celt breaks ranks and says more January transfer business will happen

Looks like Frank McAvennie is changing tact here.

After being lambasted by the Celtic fans for his comments on Anthony Ralston last week, the former Celtic striker is trying to sound more upbeat about the club as he waxed lyrical about the early transfer business already completed.

Speaking to Football Insider, McAvennie said, “Celtic getting business done this early, I’ve never seen it.

“Amazing, I can’t remember us getting business done before the window even opened.

“One thing these players are is enthusiastic, that is clear already.

“It’s a great thing for Celtic. I can’t wait to see all four of the Japanese lads starting together.

“It will be a sight to behold I imagine. Don’t get wrong, we know absolutely nothing about them.

“But after Kyogo you have to be excited by all of this. Getting them in early gives us plenty of time to get them bedded in for the next game.

“That’s the real big thing, for me. We now have options and a bit more depth which is what we have been crying out for.

“It’s a great start to the window and I’m sure there are more to come.”

Makes a change from Frank to be positive but I think it’s too little too late in the eyes of the Celtic fans.
