“Do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour” – Sevco fans causing carnage already as two arrested on Lyon flight

It was only a matter of time wasn’t it?

As soon as they were allowed to go, the flights were booked and the bevvy was downed.

The flight to Lyon and a report had surfaced hadn’t even reached the airport and the police were called to arrest fans that brought drink onboard and started to consume it illegally.

As the fans didn’t listen to warnings from the crew on the Easyjet flight, the police had to be called and two were arrested for ‘boisterous singing’ and ‘behaving disruptively’.

An Easyjet spokesperson said, “We can confirm that police met flight EZY6735 from Belfast to Lyon today on arrival and arrested two passengers who were behaving disruptively onboard.

“Our cabin and ground crew are trained to assess all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.

“Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff.

“The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always our highest priority.”

It seems the French Governments initial instincts were correct and the travel ban should have stayed in place.
