Wow. A series of tweets, a flurry of excitedness and swooning over Jota.
And that was just me when I read them!
Anthony Joseph blew twitter away this afternoon with a flurry of tweets that ranged from Vasilis Barkas leaving for Turkey, Jota’s contract clause being activated and the imminent arrival (hopefully) of the three boys from the Japanese J League.
It truly was something as the Sky Sports man blind sided the Celtic fans with these brilliant updates and it seems Ange Postecoglou has been a busy boy over the last few months.
The Celtic gaffer always said it was his plan to dip into the Japanese market but that dip became a full blown 10m dive as Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi were all confirmed as targets for the Celtic boss.
But, even more interestingly, the speculation surrounding Jota seems to be nearing it’s end as Joseph confirmed that Celtic are expected to activate his £6.5m loan clause to make his deal permanent this winter. This news will excite the Hoops fans as they have been wishing this to happen ever since they clapped eyes on the Portuguese.
And a welcome departure of goalkeeping flop Vasilis Barkas was also dropped in there for effect.
