Can you hear the sound of panic from across the water? You’re not listening hard enough then.
Reports have surfaced from numerous sources that Steven Gerrard plans to raid his old club in January for the services of Ryan Kent.
It was rumoured that the former Ibrox gaffer would return to Glasgow at some stage to cherry pick players to join him at Villa but there was some chat about if any of them are actually good enough to make an impact in the English Premier League.
Clearly Gerrard thinks Kent is the man that can help him get Villa up the table and trusted Twitter reporter, Ekrem Konour, reported this morning that Gerrard is set to plan talks with his old club in January about the services of Kent.
And to be fair, this has been met with relative popularity amongst the Villa support. Kent is a decent player but blows too hot and cold and maybe he knows, just like Gerrard did, that his time is up in Govan.
Not really what we need but he’ll be cheap and he’s a great player. No complaints

What we need to understand is Gerrard has his own system and style, it’s not about the big names who we sign but more so the right players to fit into our system in each position we sign
