“Celtic bound Hutch?” – Stunning Yokohama development sparks Hoops question

The backroom question is one that will simply not go away for Ange Postecoglou.

Ever since he took the top job at Paradise, the Aussie gaffer was inundated with a barrage of questions on whether or not he will be bringing in his own backroom team.

And it is not surprising. The MSM latched onto the fact that former Celtic boss had his backroom team of John Kennedy and Gordon Strachan foisted upon him so naturally those questions will be aimed at Ange as well.

But just as all that seemed to have calmed down, an interesting development back in Japan may be about to start the questions again.

Ange Postecoglou’s former right hand man, John Hutchinson, has been sacked from his role at Yokohama F Marinos. Hutchinson was specifically selected by Ange Postecoglou to join him at the Japanese club in January of this year after the departure of Arthur Papas.

Hutchinson announced the news early this morning in a statement on social media when he said, “It is with great sadness that I will no longer be with @prompt_fmarinos next season.

I have enjoyed every second I have spent with this amazing team but unfortunately I am no longer required after a great season. Thank you for all the support.”

And it sparked an interesting question:

It has yet to be replied to but as Ange looks to build his squad as the priority, he has always said that he will add to the backroom team at a time when he sees fit.

With the rumours of Gavin Strachan leaving still doing the rounds, this may just be one of those times.
