Kris Boyd is a pundit Celtic fans love to hate. His inability to remain impartial when it comes to reporting on Celtic and his own club is something that leaves a bitter taste in the Hoops fans mouth and it seemed, after Rangers’ Sunday Premier Sports Cup exit, that Boyd had gone into hiding.
No one had either seen nor heard of the former Gers front man until last night when Boyd appeared out of hiding after Rangers 2-0 win against Sparta Prague sealed their place in the Europa League knockout phase.
Boyd was his usual bitter, chirpy self when he quipped on Sky Sports, “Just on that, I believe, I’ve heard there have been a few Celtic fans wondering where I’ve been the last few days.
“They won’t need to worry, I’ll definitely be here speaking about Rangers in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
“And, as we know after tonight, that’s not for everyone!.”
And neither is domestic cup success though eh Kris? And that was the message hammered home by the Celtic fans:
