Major football fan site talks Celtic links to ‘quality’ EFL star

More transfer talk is hitting the Celtic Park rumour mill this morning as football fansite, Football League World (FLW), talk Celtic and their links to another Derby County star.

The media site references the Hoops interest in The Rams left back, Lee Buchanan as speculation has been rife during the summer and, most recently, early October, as Ange Postecoglou is looking to add the 20 year to add to his ranks as he finds himself short of cover in the left back area.

Due to Greg Taylor’s shoulder injury, the Scottish international left back is not expected to return to first team action any time soon which is forcing the Celtic gaffer to play Josip Juranovic from his preferred right back back position as cover on the opposite side of the pitch.

Although equipping himself well, it has also allowed Anthony Ralston to continue his excellent form for the Hoops but clearly this cannot be sustained throughout the whole season and Ange is seemingly looking to address this in January.

FLW describe Buchanan as a ‘quality left-back , impressing both defensively and going forward – and he should only get better as he continues to develop.’

They also claim Derby’s hopes of promotion from League One to the Championship would be boosted if Buchanan stayed with The Rams, so quite clearly he is highly rated and thought of down south.

But with County’s well documented financial position, Celtic could nick in and steal the youngster for a nominal fee and he may well be tempted as Scotland’s largest club comes calling.
