“I think there’s more to come” – Postecoglou tells Celtic fans to brace themselves as star is going to get better

If Ange Postecoglou is anything, he is honest and upfront.

And when he tells you that you’ve not seen everything from a player who we can all see is in top form, you sit up and take notice.

Postecoglou was giving his pre match press conference when he was asked about right back , Anthony Ralston.

The Celtic gaffer was glowing in his praise for the 22 year old defender and told the Celtic fans to brace themselves as they’ve not seen the best of him yet, “Other people might have a different opinion of him, but, from the moment I walked in, all I’ve seen is a footballer who’s really eager to learn.

“He really wanted an opportunity and really wanted to take it. As a manager, that’s what you are looking for.

“You want guys who will give everything for that opportunity, who want to learn, be better and who demonstrate that every day in training, not just in games.

“Tony is one of those guys.

“Sometimes in a football career when there’s uncertainty or it looks like something could be taken away from you, getting a second bite at it makes you even more determined to get it right.

“He’s done everything right so far. I think there’s more to come.”

The Celtic fans have been blown away by Ralston’s turn of form this season and so have the club. So much so that there has been speculation that he is set to be offered a contract extension in the coming weeks.
