Brilliant Celtic target interview that shows Ange is after the man, not just the player

The transfer speculation surrounding the club reached fever pitch last week.

With links to Fernando Henrique and Lee Buchanan absolutely rife within the media, another international player has also been strongly touted for a move to Paradise.

The talk of Daizen Maeda joining Celtic has been going on since July this year, and with him being Celtic boss, Ange Postecoglou, former player, it seems someone has put 2+2 together and hoping they are coming up with the correct answer.

A brilliant interview with Maeda has just surfaced from Japanese outlet Sportiva Shueisha, where he gives a brilliant insight to his psyche and a reason why Ange Postecoglou is looking to land his former striker, “I have a lot of chances [in front of goal].

Should Celtic sign Jota now or wait till end of the season? Take the poll HERE!

“I have a lot of chances and there have been moments in which I could score more, but I didn’t. After it, I try not to think too much about it.

“Nightmares can come. I cherish that. Even if I miss the shot, if someone scores a goal and the team wins, I feel comfortable, but if I miss it and lose, it can be dragged.

“I run for the team, and do it crazy. If you lose that, you’re done. I’m not a good player, so I have to work hard all the time to compete with a good player.”

It certainly does seem as though Maeda would fit into the culture Postecoglou is trying to build at the club and it would be very interesting to see a player of his calibre line up with Kyogo.

That front line would be devastating.
