Ange Postecoglou’s brilliant Kyogo update

Domestic football is back! And how much are we looking forward to it?

More to the point, how much are the Celtic supporters glad that the team is starting to get more players back from injury to help bolster the squad for the upcoming away trips to Motherwell, Hibs and the Europa League tie against Ferencvaros on Tuesday afternoon?

But is there any fresh injury worries the Hoops fans should be kept in the know about?

Not according to gaffer Ange Postecoglou who gave an injury update that will leave the Hoops fans delighted, “The most important thing was to get through the break and get all the players back in one piece.

“It’s a relief, absolutely, because the last international window wasn’t kind to us to say the least.

“I was watching the Australia game in Japan with many lit candles, saying the odd prayer now and again!

“Australia lost the game, but I was glad those guys came out of it unscathed.

“There’s no doubt I was delighted when Kyogo wasn’t in the Japan starting line-up.

“I was also quite happy seeing Tommy jog off with no issues, so that was probably my biggest delight. They are OK.

“Tommy has been doing it for many years now and he knows his own body and how to deal with things.

“The players are professional in how they recover.

“Kyogo came back on Wednesday, had a lighter session and then a more intense one on Friday. They are both fine and ready to go.”

This is fantastic news for the Hoops support as they look towards a month of difficult fixtures with their star man given a clean bill of health.
