“The guy’s got eyes everywhere” – Journalists brilliant insight of Postecoglou’s transfer tactics. January will be interesting.

With less than ten weeks to go until the transfer window opens, many Celtic fans will be looking at Ange Postecoglou to see what type of targets he will be looking to bring in.

With the Hoops fans having their own shopping list, Postecoglou will no doubt have his own and Vince Rugari of the Sydney Herald was speaking to The Celtic Exchange podcast and giving the boys the lowdown on how Ange identifies his targets.

Rugari says Postecoglou is a very hands on type of manager and gets involved with all aspects of identifying targets.

But not only that, Ange also has access to the same player database that brought the likes of Patrick Roberts through Parkhead’s famous gates, “He likes to bring through young players. He likes to look at the academy and make sure things are set up properly there.

I think he likes to get involved in signing players as well.

Scouting for sure. Ange watches a lot of football. Especially during his international phase with the Socceroos. I mean he’d watch full games of players from the Socceroos all over the world.

Of course he is just big football fan, just in general so he’s the kind of guy who eats, sleeps, breaths, reads everything he can. Watches as much as he can.

I’m not sure actually if Celtic has access to the the City Football group empire scouting works?

I know that they’re almost like a cousin of the City Football group in a way because I know that there’s close connections there.

But I do know that Ange leant on on that facility quite often in his time at Yokohama and was able to sign some really good players through that. Not sure if that’s still the case at Celtic.

The guy’s got eyes everywhere and knows what he’s doing and he knows exactly what he wants, and I think he knows how to get it too.

So it seems Ange is pretty full on and involved in all aspects of transfers. If that’s the case, I can’t wait to see what he will bring in on January.
