“Don’t come back” – Watch Postecoglou’s brilliant answer to Sky’s international break question

After finally securing their first three points on the road this season, the Hoops go into the international break bouyed that they have finally broke their poor away win streak.

The victory takes them to within five points of league leaders Hearts and the Hoops now have two further difficult away fixtures to negotiate after the international break.

When being interviewed by Sky Sports News after the match, the reporter asked Postecoglou if he was looking forward to the break and his answer was just typical ‘Ange’, “All depends mate. The last break wasn’t really kind to me so I said to the players that if anyone gets injured on international duty then don’t bother coming back.

Because there’s no doubt that the disruptions we’ve had, particularly with injuries, has made it really difficult for us to to get momentum.

So fingers crossed we get through this international window well.

We can do some work with players who are out and either injured or need some work physically, you can use the extra two weeks and then hopefully set a platform to go on a bit of a run.

After the previous international break, Celtic were left with a devastating injury to Kyogo Furuhashi which saw the teams form dip dramatically.

All fingers and toes will be crossed that all players return not only injury free, but also fresh and ready for what will be the toughest month Ange Postecoglou will face so far this season.
