Incredible Celtic fan theory on Dom McKay goes unchallenged by radio pundits

The conspiracy theories have started already. And really, for a national broadcaster, the team at Clyde 1 Superscoreboard really should be either cutting these dangerous and nonsensical people off or at least rebuff unfounded allegations made about business at Celtic Park.

The Celtic statement regarding Dom McKay’s departure cited “personal reasons” for the former CEO’s departure from the club, and with ambiguity comes speculation.

But there is speculation and then there is speculation!

And this Hoops fan called the radio station to offer his thoughts on the reasons why he thinks McKay left Parkhead. I really wish he hadn’t bothered, “Peter Lawwell as much as he had his faults, did a good job for us.

Personally, I just worry that Peter Lawwell had that arson attack at his house, I just, I pray that nothing has happened to Dom McKay in his personal life and this has somehow spooked him.

I don’t know but you never know these things.”

Wow. And the best thing about it? Neither Hugh Keevins or Jim Duffy replied to that outlandish theory.

Even the usually well balanced Gordon Duncan let it slide and it is not a theory that is going to help the ongoing issues at Paradise.

And it is certainly not a theory that will help McKay that, if it is true, that personal reasons forced him out of Celtic, the last thing him and his family need is supporter theories that feed the media with more club negativity.
