Mark Guidi and Barry Ferguson talk up Celtic’s ‘Driving Force’. It’s not Kyogo

At last. The international break is all but over and now the focus is on the domestic scene. Another great result for Scotland shows that they may well be on the road to World Cup qualification, but as least for now, it does look like the insurance policy of a play off place is almost in the bag.

And one player that has played a massive pat in that is Celtic’s Callum McGregor.

The Hoops captain has been in great form for not only his club but also his country and speaking on Go Radio, journalist Mark Guidi and former *Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson were talking up Celtic’s leader.

Guidi spoke of McGregor’s form over the last seven years, branding him ‘sensational’, “One thing about Callum McGregor is that he has been a brilliant operator on the park. He has been sensational for six or seven years. He really has.

And I think he’s grown into the captain’s role at Celtic and he speaks with authority. He’s not a shouter but when he speaks he makes sense and I like listening to him.

And Barry Ferguson was just as glowing as he spoke of McGregor as being the ‘real driving force’ behind the Celtic team this season, “He doesn’t miss a game. He plays every single minute.

He is one of the first names on the team sheet. He’s been a top player over the years.

And as I said a lot of talk about who is gonna take over from Scott Brown. I think he’s just slipped into it really well.

And honestly, he’s been one of the driving forces for Celtic.

I know a lot of people go on about Kyogo been really good, and rightly so because he has, but Callum McGregor has been a real driving force for Celtic.”
