Davie Provan Drops Possible Transfer Destination For Celtic Star

I’m hoping this story goes one of two ways.

Either Odsonne Edouard leaves Celtic really soon and the Hoops get as much money as they possibly can or the big Frenchman signs a new deal at Celtic, buys into Ange Postecoglou‘s style of football, shines and then earns his big money move away next summer.

Unfortunately I don’t think the latter will be an option and neither does former Celtic midfielder Davie Provan.

Speaking on Go Radio, Provan states the obvious in that Edouard want’s to leave the club but then drops a new name into the mix at to where the Frenchman’s next destination could be, “I don’t think Edouard wants to be in Glasgow.

I think it’s pretty obvious over the last couple of years. He’s been half the player that he was two or three seasons ago.

There’s now talk about Nice being interested and he might fancy a back to France.

I think we are seeing the final days of Odsonne Edouard at Celtic.”

With Edouard’s contract demands seeing a succession of clubs back away from a possible transfer deal, it does look more and more likely that, unless he is open to negotiation, Celtic could lose their former talisman for free as he is eligible to sign a pre contract in January.

With the emergence of Kyogo Furuhashi, the impact of Edouard leaving will be cushioned somewhat but with Leigh Griffiths nowhere to be seen and Albian Ajeti looking somewhat wanting in front of goal, quality cover up top is in short supply for Postecoglou if Edouard does eventually go this summer.
