“He’d Be A Terrific Signing For Celtic” – Radio Show Bizarrely Urges Hoops To Sign Two Top Scottish Talents

As Hibs mull over losing two of their top talents in this transfer window, former Celtic midfielder, Davie Provan on The Go Radio Football Show, has urged the club to take a serious look at Kevin Nesbit. Nothing unusual there but host, Rob McLean and fellow pundit Marvin Bartley also recommended a second player the Hoops should look to snap up.

Nesbit has long been touted for a move away from Leith this season and the Easter Road club look pretty much resigned to losing their marksman as English team circle around him, but Provan was enthusiastic in his recommendation of the young Scotland striker to Paradise, “We were just saying the weekend if your Celtic, you’ve got to have a look at Nesbit, but I don’t know you’re saying it’s important Hibs keep him. I think he’d be a terrific signing for Celtic.”

As Born Celtic reported this morning, Hibs boss, Jack Ross wants to resolve another first team matter as he spoke about the future of Josh Doig, but interestingly he was already being named as a potential Celtic signing…….

And just then host Rob McLean jumped in to add Doig to the mix, “I wonder about Josh Doig as well to be honest. Maybe the price has gone there to a level where Celtic wouldn’t be able to compete. But he’s a top young Scottish player, he’s got height as well. Much taller than Greg Taylor.”

“He is that an age as well. You’re gonna get money back for him.”

Speculation that Doig and Nesbit are set for moves away from Edinburgh to Celtic has been rife this summer but as yet, no formal approach has been made by the club to try and secure both players.

There is no doubt they will be on their way out of Edinburgh this season but could Celtic be priced out of a move or will they push the boat out on two players who would undoubtedly improve the first team?
