Sacre Bleu! Postecoglou dealt Double Transfer Blow As Targets Set for France

Celtic have been dealt a double transfer blow today as reported targets Ado Onaiwu and Brandon Soppy are set seal moves to France.

Onaiwu was seemingly on Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou’s radar as a reunion with his former Yokohama F Marinos striker was looking on the cards.

The clear connection between the two made the move seem obvious and Onaiwu addressed the speculation in a press conference after a J League fixture less than a week ago, “I’ve read about the speculation about my future, but my only thought at the moment is to try and catch Kawasaki Frontale in the league because they are nine points ahead of us.

“I think I’ve had a pretty good season and a lot of that is down to the chances created by my teammates.”

The Daily Record reports that Onaiwu could be set to move to Toulouse in the next 48 hours in a move that may be a blow to the Celtic gaffers plans.

In another transfer twist, second Hoops target Brandon Soppy has been the subject of interest for French Ligue 1 club Lille.

Celtic were linked to Soppy by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano as the Italian journalist tweeted, reported by Vital Celtic, that Soppy was next on the Parkhead list after apparently sealing the Carl Starfelt deal from Rubin Kazan.

The report says a £4m deal could be done as the 19 year old full back enters the last year of his contract.

Will Ange have an insurance policy up his sleeve if he misses out on both targets? The Celtic fans will certainly hope so.
