“It’s Going To Happen” – Pundit Tips Transfer Move To Net Celtic Millions

As Celtic continue their foray into the transfer market this summer, there are also expected outgoings that the club are currently in the process of finalising.

With Kristoffer Ajer apparently agreeing a £13m move to Brentford, Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard are next in line to leave Paradise in moves that could see the Hoops rake in excess of £10-£20m in transfer fees.

The Hoops fans are probably more resigned to losing Christie but there has always been that glimmer of hope that Edouard could be persuaded to stay by Ange Postecoglou.

Apparently not, according to pundit Kevin Campbell. Speaking to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker says Edouard is going, it’s just a matter of time, “I’ll be honest with you, it is going to happen.

“Edouard will want it to happen pretty quickly and I think the reason it has taken a little bit longer is because the move to Leicester fell through. I thought he was going to go and play under Brendan Rodgers again.

“He will be worried about getting injured in pre-season because if you’re injured you have to toe the line. But I think he will be alright and I think he will get his move in the end.”

Many Celtic fans will be disappointed, but not surprised, at the news and as Postecoglou’s mission to strengthen the forward line took a giant leap forward with the signing Kyogo Furuhashi, maybe that is the signal for the fans that Edouard is on his way out of Paradise in the not too distant future.
