TURKISH MEDIA REPORT REVEALS CELTIC “PRIORITY” FOR WINGER

With the Celtic fans getting more impatient as the transfer clock continues to tic down, Turkish media site, Fotospor , reports that one of the Hoops suggested targets Bright Osayi-Samuel, has made the Parkhead club one of his priority clubs to sign for.

I say, ‘one of’ because the report also claims that Glasgow rivals Rangers and English Football League side Fulham are both also on his ‘list’.

Although, according to the report, nothing has been made official yet, if none of the clubs make an offer, Fenerbache will consider offering the 23 year old to Monaco in exchange for Henry Onyekuru.

Even at just 23, Osayi-Samuel is an experienced winger with over 160 appearances in the English leagues with Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers.

In January of this year, the young Nigerian sealed a move to Fenerbache after signing a pre contract with the Turkish giants and instead of losing the dynamic winger for free, QPR agreed an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £400,000 to immediately take Osayi-Bright to Sarı Kanaryalar  (The Yellow Canaries).

Celtic need to be wary as Rangers boss, Steven Gerrard has apparently made it known that he is extremely interested in the player but the £3.4m asking price may be too much as the Ibrox club warned of requiring player sales to ‘balance the books’.

If Celtic do manage to pull off this move, it will at least give the fans some faith that the club are starting to take serious the rebuild required to win back the league title.
