Report Reveals Eyewatering Payday Expected By Celtic

With the amount of incomings and outgoings expected at Celtic this summer, Ange Postecoglou has a massive job on his hands to ensure the rebuild can be as successful as possible.

Of course, all this cannot be done without having solid financial muscle behind you and Celtic are seemingly aiming to give Postecoglou exactly that through players sales.

One man that is expected, and is expecting, to leave Celtic this transfer window, is Norwegian international Kristoffer Ajer.

Ajer revealed whilst on international duty that it was his wish to leave this transfer window as the club had made promises to him last season, “With one year left of my contract, that would be the best solution for me and my club. Something is going to happen this summer.

“There are of course many rumours. Right now it’s just rumours. I have one year left on my contract with Celtic and I relate to it, but something will probably happen this summer.

“I have one year left and will be loyal to the club. For both me and Celtic to get the best possible starting point, it probably makes sense that it happens this year.

With Postecoglou almost resigned to losing Ajer this summer, a report from Football Insider has emerged that the Hoops have set instructions to agents and other parties to “secure” a £15m fee for the towering stopper.

The report cites no direct quotes from anyone at Celtic, merely just “sources”, but it does seem an incredible amount of money when no less than three days ago Born Celtic reported that Norwich City are preparing a club record £12m bid.

I hope Celtic are able to secure the fee. It is no more than they deserve after developing Ajer as a young sixteen year old into an international defender but it does remain to be seen whether the demand of a £15m fee will scare off any potential suitors.
