Club “Rests” Star as Transfer Negotiations Continue.

The name of Mario Vuskovic has been on the lips of every Celtic supporter these last two weeks.

As the nineteen year old defender has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic, the fans have waiting with baited breath to see if a move is imminent.

No longer do they need to wait as reports from Croation media outlet, Slobodana Dalmacija, have emerged that Vuscovik was dropped from Hadjuk Split’s pre season friendly against Ari’s with Split’s manager citing the young defender was simply being “rested”

The report also admits that negotiations between the club’s are ongoing and it believes that a an agreement could be close.

With Hadjuk’s pre season continuing on Sunday, it will be interesting to see if Vuscovik will be selected or will he continue preparations for the new season on the sidelines?

Vuscovik has appeared in every one of Hadjuk’s pre season games but by all accounts the report claims “sources” believe he is about to be on his way.

Torino are also said to be interested in the young Croat, but with Celtic offering him a deal more than double what the Serie A giants were willing to, Celtic are claimed to be in the driving seat to capture his signature.

With the Hoops first Champions League qualification match less than three weeks away, boss Ange Postecoglou will be desperate for the £4.5m move to go through to bolster his back line.

If the move does happen, will this pave the way for Norwegian international Kristoffer Ajer to make moves to leave the club?

The next few weeks are about to get more interesting…….
