“There’s A Genuine Interest There” – Pundit Tips Incredible DOUBLE Signing Coup

With so many transfer rumours flying around and with Celtic linked to more players as the window remains open, the club will be subject to intense speculation now that Ange Postecoglou has made his first signing.

Clearly the Celtic boss see’s the defence as a priority to reinforce, but one pundit reckons they should be focusing on the man between the sticks.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Mark Guidi has told Celtic that they must look at the goalkeeping position and has incredibly linked them to signing not one but TWO pairs of safe hands this summer, “If it’s a possibility then if there’s an opportunity to get David Marshall even if you have to pay a fee for him. Then go and get him.

“They have been linked with Mat Ryan at Brighton who is Australian. He’s worked with Postecoglou. And it’s not people putting two and two together and getting five.

There’s a genuine interest there. And I have to say, if Celtic can get Mat Ryan, he is a proper goalkeeper. He is proper.

“So that, again, would be a step in the right direction. You would need to pay a few quid for him but Brighton do want to offload him.

“So therefore, that’s something that Celtic should be looking to really to get signed and sealed as quickly as possible.”

David Marshall was heavily linked to the Hoops last summer but ended up signing for Derby on a free and Mat Ryan has vast amounts of international experience so to get both of these guys would be an amazing statement of intent from Postecoglou and the board. Watch this space.
