SWEDISH MEDIA REPORT MANAGERLESS HOOPS “BID” FOR £3.4M STAR. who’s making the bid?

Reports from Swedish media outlet Aftonbladet, have confirmed that Celtic have tabled a bid for Elfsborg’s towering centre back Joseph Okumu. The Kenyan international is in high demand with reported interest from FOUR other European clubs, including Glasgow rivals, Rangers.

According to the report, club manager Stefan Andreasson has confirmed that a bid of £2.5m has already been confirmed as the largest from French side Llorient, but with interest from Gent and Reims, it is thought the Swedish club are holding out for at least £3.4m.

Andreasson said of the interest and of his player entering the final year of his contract, “There is a lot of interest in Okumu, it has been for a long time.

“I cannot comment on any details. We have had some clubs that want to act, not just one club.

“Either we find the right club, otherwise we have the ambition to extend. We have a good dialogue both with Joseph and with his representatives.”

With Celtic still officially managerless and with no Director of Football or Head of Recruitment, who exactly is sanctioning this multi million pound move?

And, if reports are to be believed, that Ange Postecoglou is set to become the next Hoops manager, is he having signings thrust upon him before he has even got his feet under the table?

Celtic are in a whole sorry mess and until at least the manager question has been answered, the supporters are still in the dark at what is happening at this great club.
